Meet Bruno, our handsome and happy long-haired German Shepherd. He is just over 6 years old, 80 lbs., and does well with other dogs and cats. He is crate-trained, housebroken, walks well on leash, and knows his basic commands. 

 

Bruno is an intelligent dog and will need some time initially to become established and understand the ground rules. He can be stubborn and will test you so we’re looking for a home that understands the need for boundaries and stability. Bruno is protective of his family, so his new owner must be mindful of this. However, with proper introductions, he is happy to accept a new friend and will enjoy being petted and loved on.

Bruno has gone through double TPLO surgery on his rear knees. He has recovered wonderfully and is not expected to have any physical restrictions. Though he is not the most energetic dog, he enjoys his walks and playtime with other dogs. Bruno has also not been officially diagnosed with vitiligo, but he has shown signs of melanin depletion. This does not affect his overall health.

Bruno’s ideal home would be a quiet, low-traffic home without young children due to his large size and protective nature. Bruno would do fine with a dog(s) and/or cat(s). He will likely love on the cat much more than the cat will like him. Bruno is highly loved by everyone who has fostered him. He is a sweetheart and a silly dog that would make a wonderful addition to the right home. 

 

We would like for Bruno to be adopted around the Baltimore area. He will come up to date on his shots, neutered, and microchipped.
