Meet Finn, a sweet, easy-going, and affectionate dog that loves tummy rubs and walks. He is crate trained, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. He is generally a quiet, low-medium energy dog. 

 

Finn gets along with dogs, cats, and people he knows. He must be introduced slowly to new people and without pressure. He is not the type of dog that can greet other dogs on walks or at the park, or have people come up to pet him. If that is the type of dog you are looking for, Finn would not be a good fit for you.

Finn has shown some resource guarding tendencies, which are manageable, but both Finn and his new owner will need additional training to help him with these issues. For this reason, we are requiring a $100 training deposit that will be refunded upon completion of the training.

 

It is important that Finn’s new owner establish firm boundaries and provide consistency. Otherwise, Finn is a dog that will create his own rules, claim space, and boss humans around as he sees fit. Because Finn is a sweetheart, it will also be easy to want to smother him with affection, but people will need to be respectful of his boundaries as well.

Finn’s ideal home would be an average energy household with confident and consistent owners. Another playful, friendly dog would be nice but that is not necessary.

 

We would like to have Finn adopted around the Baltimore area. He will come up to date on his shots, neutered, and microchipped.
