Meet Sima, a very loving girl with a ton of personality! When you come home, she will greet you with flailing paws, a happy face, and lots of kisses. She also gets super excited when you say her name and smile at her! Her favorite thing is to do is lean against you and give you some kisses. 

 

Sima loves to go on hikes and walks well on a leash. She would do well in a home in the city, or outside the city with a fenced in yard. She is about 20 pounds overweight, and her new owner will need to help her regain her “figure.” 

 

Sima has shown many hound-like behaviors; she can be mouthy, and occasionally vocal. Fortunately, though, her vocalizations are limited to quiet whines, and are not loud and annoying! And, like many hounds, she is a very social girl that loves to be around other dogs as part of a “pack.”

 

Sima has a history of anxiety, but she is not destructive like some dogs with this issue. When she is anxious, she will happily go straight into her crate where she is very well behaved. She may whine a little bit, but she stops fairly quickly.

 

In her previous home, Sima was an only dog, and her foster dad believes this made her anxiety worse. Now that she is living in a home with several dogs, he says that she has shown very little anxiety. 

 

We would like to for Sima to go to a home with another dog. She is not a fan of bigger, hyper dogs, so we would like for the dog to be smaller than she is. Sima does take a little bit of time to warm up to new dogs, and may initially growl, so her new owner will have to introduce them slowly. Once she realizes the dog is a friend, she is fine. 

 

We would like to have Sima adopted around the Baltimore area. She will come up to date on her shots, spayed, and microchipped.
