Jack is a loving, low-maintenance, generally quiet guy. He is a great, loyal companion whose favorite activity is watching his “herd” in action. 

 

Jack has playful “on demand” energy but enjoys spending most of his day relaxing and dozing on the couch. He loves going on walks and has even started running with his foster. While he is on-leash, he has displayed some reactivity towards larger dogs and strangers, but he does well with some guidance. He has been in training for a few weeks and has taken well to it.  

 

Jack is a very confident dog that needs structure and a strong, patient leader. He is very protective of himself and his pack, so he requires slow introductions for safety reasons. Because he is so protective it takes him a while to bond with his pack and feel comfortable. His foster says that it took him three months before he felt safe, but since then he has been relaxed, a lot of fun, and very loving.

 

Jack would do best in a quiet, structured home where he has space to wander. He does have a tendency to jump up and, for that reason, he would do best in a home without small children.

We would like to have Jack adopted around the Baltimore area. He will come up to date on his shots, neutered, and microchipped.
